Singapore School Holidays 2026

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has released the official school calendar for 2026. Here is everything you need to know about school term dates and holidays.

Term 1: 2 January – 13 March 2026

The first term begins on Friday, 2 January 2026. Students return after the year-end holidays for a 10-week term. The term ends on 13 March, followed by the March school holidays.

March School Holidays: 14 – 22 March 2026

A 9-day break between Term 1 and Term 2. This is a great time for short family getaways within the region.

Term 2: 23 March – 29 May 2026

The second term runs for 10 weeks. Key public holidays during this term include Good Friday (3 April), Labour Day (1 May), and Hari Raya Haji (27 May).

June School Holidays: 30 May – 28 June 2026

The longest mid-year break at 4 weeks. Popular time for overseas family holidays and enrichment programmes.

Term 3: 29 June – 4 September 2026

A 10-week term with National Day (9 August) as the main public holiday break.

September School Holidays: 5 – 14 September 2026

A 10-day break before the final term of the year.

Term 4: 15 September – 20 November 2026

The final term for primary and secondary schools ends on 20 November. JC students continue until 27 November.

Year-End School Holidays

Primary & Secondary: 21 November – 31 December 2026 Junior College: 28 November – 31 December 2026

The longest break of the year, lasting about 6 weeks for most students.
